2 days tour from Fes to Merzouga Desert overview:

When many visitors visit Morocco, the majority of them want to explore the Sahara desert. Merzouga is a well-known destination where you may ride camels and spend the night in a desert tent. As a result, our team has created a trip that is appropriate for couples, families, groups of friends, and even single travelers. Furthermore, we will have the privilege of customizing it if necessary.

The 2 days tour from Fes to Merzouga Desert (Fes to Merzouga 2 day desert excursion) provides guests with the opportunity to explore Merzouga and its massive sand dunes. Furthermore, when we depart from Fes, we will meet you at your hotel or airport. We will go to several fascinating places, including Ifrane, Africa’s most beautiful city. There are also historic Berber dwellings that resemble traditional Moroccan architecture. In addition, you will be enchanted by the views of the valleys and rivers. Finally, when you get to Beautiful Merzouga, you can ride camels to see one of the most beautiful sunsets in the desert.

The excursion will come to a close with an extraordinary night spent beneath the stars hearing Berber’s song before returning to Fes through the same route.

The Itinerary of our 2 Days tour from Fes to Merzouga

Day 1 : From Fes to Merzouga desert passing by Ifrane and Azro:

Our 2 days tour from Fes to Merzouga desert will begin at any meeting spot in Fes. A trek into Morocco’s largest desert.

We’ll start by traversing the middle Atlas Mountains on our journey to Ifrane. The lush mountains and far-reaching vistas of Berber communities make this range noteworthy. Ifrane is sometimes known as Moroccan Switzerland or Little Switzerland. The reason for this is because it is Africa’s best city and the eighth-best in the world. When you arrive, you will have the opportunity to go for a stroll and explore the region.

Second, we’ll continue our journey via Midelt, also known as the Apple City. Furthermore, there are large agricultural fields for apples in this city, and it is the first city in Morocco to produce this fruit. Following that, you’ll travel into the high Atlas Mountains, where your driver will take a photo stop.

Third, you’ll witness the Ziz Valley and then traverse the city of Erfoud on your way to the Merzouga Desert.

When you arrive at Merzouga, you will be greeted with mint tea before embarking on your camel ride. Furthermore, since it will be around 40 minutes before sunset, the camel driver will ensure that you are shown the ideal panoramic viewpoint for the sunset. After snapping some magnificent photographs, you’ll arrive at the camp, where you may participate in a variety of sports, including sandboarding.

Finally, while you’re eating supper, the crew will build a campfire for you and play some pleasant Berber music beneath the stars.

Day 2 : From Merzouga desert via Ziz valley and Ifrane to Fes :

Our 2 days tour from Fes to Merzouga Desert will begin at 8:00 a.m. on the second day. The personnel at the camp will make sure you get up in time to see the dawn. The latter will take place either at the camp or at the hotel. Our tour will begin with a departure from Merzouga, a stunning Sahara desert. Furthermore, we had already seen most of the interesting sights on the first day. You may pick where you wish to stop once again. Furthermore, your driver will ensure that you stop at additional worthwhile locations.

Finally, your driver will leave you off at your hotel, bringing our two-day Sahara desert trip from Fes to a close.

Testimonials:

The best 2 Dyas desert tour from  Fes

We're a bunch of buddies who recently got back from a trip to Morocco. It was a fantastic trip. We'd want to emphasize the fantastic decision we made to stay a few nights in the desert rather than the 1 night/2-day vacation we planned through Moroccan Desert Tours. The well-equipped luxury camp is in the center of Erg Cheddi dunes. Furthermore, great rooms with really comfy mattresses, side tables, poufs, water, fruit, and a very clean and well-equipped bathroom. Towels, soap, and shampoo, to name a few... There were also hammocks, swings, novels, cards, and snowboards to help you unwind. Dinner and breakfast are both wonderful and plenty. Everything went well. Thank you so much for your kind welcome and for allowing us to share in this wonderful event!

Merzouga tour from Fes

A buddy suggested the firm to us, and now I see why! We took a 2 days Sahara desert excursion from Fes and had a fantastic time. understanding the culture, meeting the locals, and seeing the tourist places Certainly, the 2-day trip's highlight was the overnight at the desert camp. Tourists are strongly advised to visit.

Hamid is the best

We traveled with Hamid, a fantastic driver who is light years ahead of people who claim that Moroccans don't know how to drive, and are much superior to those in Italy. Not just in the desert, but also in other parts of the world, this was an incredible vacation with stunning scenery. From the gorges to the canyons, from the Atlas to the palm-fringed oasis, Morocco has it all. A fantastic nation with an excellent guide who informed us not just on the finest eateries but also on strategic picture and activity locations (like feeding the monkeys). With this tour operator, we suggest this kind of vacation to everyone.

11 days itinerary

Moroccan Desert Tours organized a personalized 11-day itinerary for two persons around the nation. I picked this driver service since it was well-reviewed and offered the most competitive price among 10 tour providers.

Morocco's architecture and scenery are magnificent, but our tour guide didn't provide any background. Because it was evident that English was a barrier to communication, the bulk of the journey required us to do our own destination research. Despite a lack of clarity in communication, our driver was pleasant, and his mobile texting responses were timely. In addition, our driver was really timely. He'd be ready and waiting to deliver us to our next location on schedule by starting each day earlier than planned.

Highlights overview:

The 2 days desert tour from Fes to Merzouga is full with stunning sights to visit. As a result, we’d like to provide you with an outline of what you’ll see and experience during your trip with us.

Ifrane:

When you begin your 2 days tour from Fes to Merzouga Desert, you will pass via Ifrane, Morocco’s “Little Switzerland.”

It is the capital of the Ifrane province in the Meknes-Fes region, with a population of 73,782 people in 2014.

Ifrane is regarded as Africa’s best city and the world’s eighth-best metropolis. Not only that, but it is also Africa’s oldest city, with a winter temperature of -28°C.

When you get in Ifrane after a 2-day journey from Fes, you will be brought to the Garden City. The white lion statue is well-known.

Ifrane served as a prisoner of war camp during WWII. A German soldier had to carve the white lion monument to gain his release.

Furthermore, King Mohammed VI owns a residence in the vicinity, and he has visited the city multiple times for its beautiful scenery.

There are several ski clubs in Ifrane for ski enthusiasts. With this in mind, Ifrane receives more snow in the winter than any other Moroccan city.

Forests of Azrou Cedars

Azrou is home to one of Morocco’s greatest cedar woods. It’s in the center of the Atlas Mountains, not far from Ifrane.

You will see the cedar forest, which is home to the Barbary macaque monkeys, when you take the 2 days, 3 days, or 4 days Sahara trips from Fes.

You will feed them since they like travelers giving them nuts and other delicacies.

The valley of Ziz

Morocco is home to a plethora of palm groves. As a result, as you begin your 2 days tour from Fes to Merzouga Desert, you will be escorted to the breathtaking Ziz valley.

It is one of the most important sources of dates in the Kingdom of Morocco, and it is also where desert characteristics begin to emerge.

A rushing river, sometimes known as Ziz, runs through the valley. It stretches for almost 200 kilometers till it reaches Erfoud.

If you’re a photographer, Ziz Valley is a fantastic area to capture some breathtaking images.

Erfoud

During our 2 days tour from Fes to Merzouga Desert, you will reach Erfoud after seeing the Ziz valley.

This city is well-known for its mountain fossil extractors, which have drawn a large number of archeologists seeking to uncover its buried treasures.

It is optional to visit one of the fossil extractors firms after you arrive in the city before heading to the Merzouga desert.

The Moroccan Sahara (Rissani) was said to have been the bottom of a huge ancient ocean during the Paleozoic Era, some 380 million years ago. With other words, outside of Erfoud, there are vast swaths of terrain covered in undiscovered fossils.

Ammonites, goniatites, and a variety of other fossils may be found at the corporate headquarters.

Camels and a Bedouin tent in the Merzouga desert

Merzouga is without a doubt the highlight of the two-day Sahara desert journey from Fes; it is most travelers’ first visit to Morocco’s desert.

Erg Chebbi is a huge sand desert in the southeast of Morocco with exceptionally towering dunes that may reach 150 meters at what is known as Lala Merzouga.

All of our Morocco excursions may take you to Merzouga to explore the sceneries and participate in a variety of sports such as quad biking and sandboarding at the camp…

When visitors arrive at Merzouga, the majority of them take a camel ride from the hamlet to the camp where they will spend the night. They pause along the road for a beautiful sunset and beautiful views of the dunes and camels.

Others choose to remain for a Merzouga town visit, which is included in the 4-day trip. They visit the National Auto Museum to learn about ancient automobiles, then go to Khamlia to meet the Gnaoua people and learn about their music. Finally, the sample Berber pizza before being taken to their hotel for the night.
