On your three-day desert trip from Marrakech to Merzouga, you’ll have the chance to see the famous Kasbah of Ait ben Haddou, which was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1986. This stunning location has been used in many movies, such as Gladiator, Obelix, The Mummy, The Jewel of the Nile, and Sahara with Penélope Cruz.

We will then go to Ouarzazate to see the Oscar Atlas film studio, which is Morocco’s biggest film studio, and the Taourirt kasbah. Our tour from Marrakech to Merzouga continues through the palm grove of Skoura, the Rose valley, which is famous for its annual rose festival and cosmetics, the green Dades valley, and the amazing Todra Gorge, which is a popular place for rock climbing.

When we finally get to Merzouga–Erg Chebbi desert, our favorite place to visit, we’ll ride camels to watch the sunset and spend the night at a Berber camp. After breakfast, at 8:30 a.m., your driver from Sahara Camel Trips will pick you up from your hotel or riad and take you on our Marrakech desert trips. It took three days to drive over the 2260-meter Tizi n'Tichka pass, where you could see amazing views of the Atlas mountains and real Berber towns.
