This 6-day Fes to Marrakech desert tour includes private transportation in an air-conditioned vehicle with an English-speaking driver/guide. Accommodation is included for all 5 nights. Meals include 5 breakfasts and 3 dinners (in desert camp and Todgha Gorge). A sunset camel trek in Erg Chebbi dunes and 4×4 desert excursion are included. Guided tour of Marrakech and pick-up from Fes/drop-off in Marrakech are included.

Itinerary

Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga

Depart Fes, crossing the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Ifrane before continuing through apple orchards around Midelt. Descend into the dramatic Ziz Valley before reaching Merzouga for your sunset camel ride into the Erg Chebbi dunes.
Night: Merzouga Desert Camp (Dinner included)

Day 2: Full Day Merzouga Desert Exploration

Wake up early to witness a magical sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, enjoy a full day of desert exploration including a visit to Khamlia village for Gnawa music, meeting nomadic families, and fossil hunting. Optional quad biking or sandboarding available.

Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Todgha Gorge

Morning visit to Rissani’s traditional market. Stop in Erfoud to see fossil workshops before continuing to Todgha Gorge. Walk between 300m-high cliffs and enjoy sunset views.

Day 4: Todgha Gorge – Dades Valley – Valley of Roses – Skoura – Ouarzazate

Day 5: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Telouet – High Atlas – Marrakech

Visit UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou. Stop at Telouet Kasbah before crossing the High Atlas via Tizi n’Tichka Pass to Marrakech.
