This 7-day tour is our most complete route from Casablanca, built for travelers who want the highlights without hurrying. Start with the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca and Morocco’s elegant capital Rabat, wander the blue streets of Chefchaouen, and explore the medieval medina of Fes with a local guide. Cross the Middle Atlas and the Ziz Valley to Merzouga for a sunset camel trek and a full day of desert exploration — Gnawa music in Khamlia, nomad families and 4x4 excursions in the Erg Chebbi dunes — with two nights in a Sahara desert camp. Instead of rushing to Marrakech, you’ll spend a night in the Dades Valley, then visit the UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou and cross the High Atlas Mountains on the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, arriving in Marrakech on the afternoon of day seven.
